This was an ideal collaboration, for we both brought a different body of knowledge and a group of talented assistants to the project and each side learned a great deal from the other. When we began we hardly knew each other: we were then the only two women who were University Professors, honored for our transdisciplinary research. But as we got deeper into the project, we gained more respect for the other’s discipline and realized we were both very hard workers. We ended up being close friends.
